BG Hospital and Research Center Pvt. Ltd - Does not even deserve a one star. I am Rosie, a very sad daughter as I asked my cousins to take my father to this BG hospital for initial evaluation on his growing depressive thoughts. We were referred by someone who did not know Nirmal Lamichanne, so called doctor. June 10, 2020: My father was taken by my cousins to BG hospital for initial evaluation. Upon concluding the evaluation my father Jaman did not want to go home as he is suffering from depression. After doctor NIrmal Lamicchane heard him say that he did not want to return home, he literally forced my family members to leave him there and be admitted, stating that his BP is too high. As soon as he learnt that my father wanted to stay he even threw his file across the room when my sis-in-law insisted on taking him home. After that he said that it will cost 3500 NPR for a night. If a family member wanted to stay there they would charge an additional 1500 NPR per person. IS THIS A HOTEL OR A HOSPITAL where mentally disturbed people can decide whether they should be admitted or not. My cousin was asked to leave the room after a heated argument. Mind you my cousin was there as a guardian of a mentally unstable patient. Finally my father was kept there without the will of a mentally unstable person’s family. It’s a good thing my husband sensed the danger and we talked all night on the steps to be taken the next day. I was so worried of my father’s well-being. Thanks for reading all this so far. June 11, 2020: Next morning, my cousin went to the hospital at around 10:30 am and asked to see my father but they would not allow her to see him until 1:30-2:00 pm. Almost keeping him hostage. Is this Legal in Nepal? Luckily my husband’s class mate is a renowned doctor and has a hospital in Kathmandu talked to this Nirmal Lamichanne and was told that his BP was extremely high and asked Nirmal to call my husband. Nirmal kept trying to convince my husband that he needs to be admitted for a day or two. When Nirmal talked to my husband he said that my father had alcohol withdrawal symptoms and they had to give him medication. My husband got even more scared and told the doctor that we did not send him to the hospital for alcohol treatment. After my husband insisted that he must discharge my father. The doctor seemed least interested to talk to my husband anymore and discharged my father. They had taken 10,000 NPS as a deposit the first day and only returned 600 NPR. Money is not an issue her but ethics is. My father was carried outside by 4 people and was in a diaper when we brought him home, and he was completely drugged with medication. My cousins later took him to a nearby medical center to check his blood-pressure, it was normal. It has been 16 hours or more since he left this hospital he has not gained complete consciousness and he has BRUISES on his hands As a daughter I had a bad feeling that he was abused in that hospital. My father is an Indian Army Veteran so he is pretty well built and strong. My mother passed away in 2017 because her kidney got damaged from taking too much prescription medication. Thanks for listening to this poor daughter’s story who lives in the USA and can only watch helplessly. Please pray for my father’s well-being. I will update with more information once my father gains consciousness. Share the Love and show compassion during and even after this pandemic to save lives. Stay Safe Everyone!

Only available mental hospital in Pokhara City with inpatient facility. Very helpful medical and non-medical staff. I rate 3 out of 5 for cleanliness. Food provided to patient is ok. Adequate number of nursing staff. No parking, we need to park beside roadside. Only 10 minutes of visiting duration.
