::The garden is beautiful and the pool area is quite nice. Water is hot 24/7. Unfortunately, however, the Wifi does not work in the rooms (I had to go outside and sit at a very specific table outside the restaurant to get a reliable connection); we had two days of heavy rain and I felt the damp in my bed and on all my clothes - our towels never dried hanging in the room, possibly because some of the windows don't actually close/just have screens; and in two rooms in our group the students couldn't sleep because of mice or rats in the roof running around all night; plus the bathroom shower had mold in it. It's the only placed I've stayed in Chitwan so not sure if this is typical.

::It was easily the best hotel stay in my 11 days trip to Nepal. We were greeted to a close rhino encounter in less than an hour of arriving at the hotel. The staff were friendly and even went around to alert all the guests and brought us to see the rhino that happened to wander just outside of the hotel grounds. The hotel is the midst of upgrading all their rooms; we happened to stay in the upgraded room. Their staff are friendly, helpful and always checking in on how we are feeling. There is a beautiful garden and they even started a campfire for guests to mingle with each other! Babu was our guide for our 2D2N stay, and he was knowledgeable and professional, furbishing us with lots of information during our walking tour, as well as the river tour to see crocodiles, gharials and other wildlife (e.g. deer, peacock, monkey, etc.), while keeping an eye out for our safety. It was a 3-star hotel that provided 5-star service. The only reason I gave 4 stars because I have to be honest that there is room for improvement on their buffet selection for meals. This was also mentioned by other reviewers and I have similar thoughts. It would be good to offer maybe 2 instead of only 1 meat dish, and also improve on the quality of the food. My wife would give them 4.5 stars because she isn't a picky eater like me. If you aren't a picky eater, then you will find little reasons to fault Hotel Parkland.
