::i have visited this place in December 2010 and would like to recommand you all , if you are planning to come Kathmandu, Nepal must visit this place basically Yak and Yeti is a heritage hotel located in Durbar Marg, the thriving city center of Kathmandu Valley, in a prime location that is minutes walking distance from the former Royal Palace. Durbar marg is a commercial area with high-end shops and a variety of food options. Our 5 star deluxe luxury property is 6 KM away from the Tribhuvan International Airport, about 1 KM from the famous tourist hub of Nepal- Thamel.

::It's a great hotel by all measures but not exactly for the value. All the staffs were very kind and their breakfast was amazing though. We had a little brown water out of the bathroom in the morning but it didn't last too long so we didn't make any complaints.

::We stayed at the Yak & Yeti after completing the EBC Trek, and it was such a nice luxurious experience after the accommodations we had been staying in on the trek. This hotel was included as part of our "luxury" EBC Trek itinerary. Room: We had a huge room complete with a living room (multiple couches, working desk, two TVs) as well as a bedroom with a king-sized bed. There was a walk-through closet to to a nice bathroom with a super hot shower. The provided robes & slippers were comfy. We were sick after the trek, and this room was so nice to stay in. Food: We didn't try the restaurants (we were sick and didn't want to put on non-pajamas) but had room service multiple times. The food was only okay but came with a hefty price tag. The restaurants might have better food. Other: There are beautiful shops on the main floor of the lobby with all kinds of lovely jewelry and other souvenirs. The grounds have a tennis court, pool, and a beautiful walking garden. It's a slice of beauty in the craziness of Kathmandu. Internet was great.
