  More and more Nepali people are beginning to carry plastic money in their wallets as they are finding it more convenient than hard cash. Bankers attribute the growth in the use of bank cards to massive investments made by banks and financial institutions (BFIs) to set up automated teller machines (ATMs) and push sales by offering them free to all their depositors. Customers are happy to use bank cards to withdraw money from ATMs as it beats staying in long queues to withdraw money by writing out a cheque.
