  over rated!!! food is horrible and expensive. its nt tasty and doesn't look hygienic enough.

  I can't say anything about the guest house, as I was only here for the restaurant. The restaurant had a nice view over the Taumadhi square, but that was all it had. The food was in between bad and mediocre and certainly below average. ( I would have gotten a better, tastier meal if I would have gotten a couple of samosas at a streetvendor) I had a "Buff ("buffalo") Wo" which basically was a plain, unseasoned pancake with a few bits of ground meat, that was cooked so badly that I'm not sure if if actually was buffalo. The whole thing tasted completely bland and I actually used the complementary store-bought curd to give it a little bit of taste. The vegetable curry that also came with the "Buff Wo" tasted premade and reheated and mostly contained potato. I also ordered a "special siddhi home soup", which was actually nothing special at all, but tasted rather like a instant chicken soup with noodles (which it might have been). Disappointing.

  We ate at the rooftop restaurant. The service was good. The boneless chilly chicken snack was great. The other food was good, as well. The view from the restaurant is great for seeing the square and surroundings.
