  I had a lovely stay at Mingtang Garden Cottage before and after a 5-day trek through the Himalayas. The owner, Maya, is kind, welcoming, and super helpful. It's cute, clean, comfortable .... and also very affordable! Highly recommended.

  My favourite hotel in Nepal! The owner Maya and her manager Chendra are very friendly and helpful. There is a beautiful peaceful courtyard garden with a picturesque restaurant. All the 'boutique' rooms are individually designed by Maya and contain only the best quality furnishings she could get. I heard people say the deluxe mattresses could well be the most comfortable in Nepal! The rooms have heaters and air-conditioners. Everything is clean and tidy. Excellent breakfast. Ideal quiet location opposite a lakeside park next to the Royal Summer Palace. Easy access to the centre of Lakeside, the Tourist Bus Park, the Airport and Pokhara town. This is my third time staying at the hotel.... a total of about 60 nights.

  My pregnant wife and I live near lakeside in a home without AC and needed a getaway from the Nepal heat. Desiring a cozy nights rest, with a chilled room we were amazed by this cottage. Very romantic. Comfiest bed we've found in nepal. Incredibly sweet owner and staff who were always available when needed. Breakfast was included and very delicious! Overall, we're recommending this place to everyone we know, and will be back!

  We were fortunate to have the restaurant to ourselves during our late breakfast. The menu is quite basic and somewhat overpriced. The serving sizes are small. Our waiter was friendly and attentive.
