  My friend and I only made a brief stop at this place for a cup of coffee and this place felt so surreal and hypnotizing. The beautiful brick wall that surrounds the hotel sets the physical and mental boundary between the hectic cityscape and the serenity. If I make it ever again to Kathmandu, I would absolutely love to stay at this place.

  People have settled in the Kathmandu Valley for over 2000 years. Throughout this period, the valley has witnessed the migration of people from the high plateaus of Tibet, the fertile plains of the Ganges, and everywhere between. This intermingling of people and cultures created a vibrant and diverse society within the valley. By the 12th century, the inhabitants of the Kathmandu Valley had developed a unique civilisation indigenous to the region and were known throughout the region as the Newars. They shared – and continue to share – a linguistic and cultural community bound together by a common language and culture called Newari. Newari civilisation flourished during the reign of the Malla Kings from the 12th to the 18th century. The Malla Kings profited from being a major destination along the trade route between India and Tibet, and invested heavily in their arts and culture. Part of the valley’s exports included skilled craftsmen like sculptors, painters and carvers to India and Tibet. Together, the wood works contain the centuries of love and dedication that these craftsmen had towards this artistic tradition.

  The quality hotel chain in Nepal, they are most expensive hotel in Kathmandu. They are well appreciated with antique looks and their warm hospitality. They have resort in Dhulikhel too, If you are visiting to Nepal and want to explore old culture as well want to stay in deluxe style but with Nepali taste then you should choose this hotel without any hesitation.

  An amazing collection of historic wooden screens, windows and beams turned into a welcoming boutique hotel. Warm staff caters to your every need. The hotel honors Nepalese craftsmanship on many fronts; a not-to-be-missed experience.

  One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at! Decor is beautiful and I appreciate the old architecture. Staff are very helpful. All the food there is delicious but especially the traditional Nepali food! The rooms felt cosy and warm. I will definitely stay here again.
